privacy.
last updated: june 2026.
readers.
the archive does not require an account to read. browsing is anonymous. we do not sell, rent, or share reader data with advertisers or data brokers. we may keep aggregate, non-identifying usage counts (page views per route, search terms with all identifiers stripped) to understand which dossiers people use.
contributors and moderators.
signing in requires an email address. we store: your email, a chosen public handle, the entries and citations you file, and a private audit trail of your edits and moderation actions. your real name is never published unless you choose to put it on your contributor profile. moderators can see who filed an entry; readers cannot.
subjects of dossiers.
the archive publishes sourced, public-record information about companies, brands, and individuals. we record only what is already public, attributed to named sources, and material to public accountability. anyone written about has a permanent right of reply and a takedown channel; both are answered by a human and logged in the corrections log.
cookies and tracking.
we do not use advertising cookies. essential cookies keep you signed in. analytics, if used, is privacy-preserving and cookieless.
your rights.
you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or close your contributor account at any time by writing to privacy@memorymadepermanent.org. we respond within thirty days.
security.
suspected vulnerabilities should be reported under /.well-known/security.txt. we do not take legal action against good-faith security research.
this notice will be reviewed by counsel before the archive opens to the public.
